Our Journey
The South Asian Group traces its origins back to 1945, when it was established as Thazhathedathu Traders by Mr. M. Musthafa Rawther in Pathanadu, Kerala with a primary focus on grocery trading.
In 1962, his son T.M. Muhammed Kunju Rawther took the helm and expanded the business into multiple grocery outlets and ventured rubber trading in Southern Kerala.
In 1990, carrying forward the legacy, T.M. Abdul Nazar, son of T.M. Muhammed Kunju Rawther, led the group, further strengthened its ventures, and drove new initiatives that solidified its reputation in the industry.
Our Leadership Today
Today, the fourth generation — Muhammed Niyas and Muhammed Nazeeb, sons of T.M. Abdul Nazar are steering the group with a modern and strategic vision. Their leadership has expanded operations across Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and the North-Eastern states, with a continued focus on reinforcing the group’s presence and leadership in the rubber industry.
